Indian Pizza,, Pizza isnt’it from Italy? YES, but this Pizza is the one with Asian touch and a special topping of Chicken Tikka Masala. Chicken Tikka Masala is Indian Chicken Dish with its special flavor, mild spicy.

MAKING YOUR OWN PIZZA CRUST AT HOME

You just need to have all purpose flour, sugar, salt, active dry yeast and olive oil. Now, you are ready to make your own pizza crust.

Firstly, prepare a frying pan. And then, the sugar is melted in the frying pan and the active dry yeast is put into the frying pan. Secondly, the whole mixture is stirred and it is kept aside for 10-15 minutes.

Thirdly, a cup of flour with salt in a bowl is prepared when the yeast gets doubled up, mix them well. After that, you will see the yeast bubble after 10-15 minutes. Next, the yeast mixture is added to the flour and is stirred using a wooden spoon and another cup of flour is added and they are kept on stirring.

 And then, you will get a sticky mixture and the last cup of flour is added and they are kept on stirring. The sides of the bowl will be left by the dough and it is still a little bit sticky.

Now, pound the dough with the hand and cover with flour to avoid from sticking and you will have soft and elastic dough and grease olive oil all around the dough.

INGREDIENTS :

  1. 10 oz of cut into ½ – inch cubes of skinless and boneless chicken
  2. 2 cloves of minced garlic
  3. 1 tablespoon of butter
  4. ½ deseeded of jalapeno
  5. 1 12-inches of pizza crust or 3 7-inches mini pizza crusts
  6. Olive oil
  7. ¼ thinly sliced onion
  8. A handful of chopped coriander leaves or cilantro.
  9. 1 cup of mozzarella cheese
  10. Salt to your taste

FOR THE MARINADE :

  1. ½ teaspoon of garam masala
  2. ½ teaspoon of ground cayenne pepper
  3. ½ teaspoon of ground cumin
  4. ¼ teaspoon of salt
  5. ¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper
  6. ½ teaspoon of minced fresh ginger
  7. 1 pinch of cinnamon
  8. 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  9. 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt

FOR THE TOMATO SAUCE :

  1. 4 oz of tomato sauce
  2. 2 tablespoons of heavy cream
  3. 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt

FOR THE MIXED SPICE

  1. ½ teaspoon of garam masala
  2. ½ teaspoon of paprika
  3. ½ teaspoon of cumin

INSTRUCTIONS :

  1. Prepare a bowl. With the Marinade, for at least one hour, the chicken is marinated in the fridge.
  2. Prepare a baking pan and aluminum foil. And then, for grilling, a layer of aluminum foil in a baking pan is lined. The marinated chicken is spread in a one single layer on the baking pan. The remaining of the marinade is no longer needed. For 6-7 minutes, the chicken is grilled and it is turned at half time.
  3. The tomato sauce and mixed of spice are prepared in separate bowls while the chicken is being cooked. The chicken is taken out of the pan when it is well cooked and the juice is thrown away.
  4. Prepare a small sauce pan. And then the small sauce pan is heated to melt the butter. The garlic and jalapeno are sautéed until you feel their aroma. The mixed of spice are poured in and for about 1-2 minutes, it is sautéed until it smells good or you smell its fragrance on medium heat. The jalapeno is taken out and it’s thrown away.
  5. The tomato sauce is put into the small sauce pan and they are stirred to mix well. The salt is sprinkled to your taste. Keep on simmering until the sauce becomes thick for about 2 minutes. The heat is turned off and the chicken meat is put into the sauce and they are mixed well.
  6. Prepare the oven. And then, the oven is preheated to 450 F. The pizza crust is placed on a pizza pan and with olive oil, the pizza crust is brushed lightly. On the pizza crust, the sauce or gravy is spread. ½ cup of cheese is sprinkled and the chicken is arranged on the pizza. The pizza is topped with the chopped cilantro, the sliced onion and the remaining cheese.
  7. The temperature of the oven is reduced to 425 F. And then, the pizza is baked for 8-10 minutes. The pizza is taken out from the pan when it is well-cooked and the pizza is beautifully decorated with the remaining chopped cilantro.
